Recently LookSmart officially announced a partnership with GenieKnows in Looksmart’s bid-for-placement distribution network. As one of the newest pay-per-click search engines (they launched their Pay-Per-Visit program in September 2003), GenieKnows is able to provide targeted search results at an astonishingly low cost per click, all while providing excellent customer service and a quick turn-around time for the editorial review process to get your campaign live within 24hrs.

Usability:
GenieKnows boasts one of the simplest interfaces available in the pay-per-click advertising field. From designing ads to viewing reports — the views could not be easier to comprehend. Like most Pay Per Click models, GenieKnows does not disclose any information about their fraud-protection systems, however, there is something very reassuring in their reporting that shows users “total clicks” and “valid clicks”. The “Total clicks” incorporates all clicks to your ads, while “valid clicks” removes the number of clicks believed to be fraudulent or foreign. Users are charged only for valid clicks delivered in their campaign.

Features:
GenieKnows Auto-Bid - AutoGenie automatically manages bids within the system. The tool automatically bids upwards as well as downwards when other listings bids change, or are deleted.

GenieKnows Keyword Select Tool - shows keyword popularity statistics by allowing you to type in a key word or phrase to see how many searches that word receives on a monthly basis while also providing similar words and phrases that are commonly searched for in the same context.

Content Analyzer - proprietary software that interprets and analyzes the text on web pages and promptly delivers paid XML from advertisers and affiliate partners.

The Good
-Very intuitive and user-friendly interface. Creating ads could not be any simpler. The top 10 bids for keywords are always displayed when designing key phrases and deciding on a bid amount within the system.
-Their customer service team is willing to provide assistance with proper keyword selection and descriptions by disclosing information and results on the proven ability of each word or phrase chosen in the title, description and keywords available.
-Minimum bid is $0.01
-Great customer service both by phone and email.
-No minimum monthly spend

The Bad
- GenieKnows only discloses a few of their network partners to the public out of the 500 they are partnered with to deliver search results.
-Have not been around as long as the other PPC Search Directories. Their Pay Per Visit Search was launched in September 2003.
